Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Laws, with honors, from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). During graduation, Stephanie specialized in commercial arbitration. Her work focuses on arbitration and multidisciplinary litigation;
Stephanie is a researcher in the Study Group on Arbitration and International Sales at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, dedicated to empirical research on arbitration and international trade, coordinated by Prof. Cláudio Finkelstein.
Career
Represented one of the world’s largest car manufacturers in international arbitration proceedings against a foreign supplier seeking payment of millions in damages for an alleged breach of contract;
Represented one of Brazil’s largest energy generators in an ICC international arbitration proceeding, based in New York, to discuss liability for the termination of a contract for the supply of solar panels for the largest photovoltaic generation project in Latin America. Represented a foreign company in the homologation of an international arbitration award in Brazil;
Represented one of the world’s largest car manufacturers in an arbitration proceeding against a foreign supplier who claimed to rebalance the supply contract;
Represented one of the largest companies in the renewable energy sector in an arbitration proceeding regarding responsibility for the termination of a construction contract;
Took part in the CAMARB Brazilian Business Arbitration and Mediation Competition in 2021, and the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in 2020, 2021 and 2023, having received awards for best speaker in four different opportunities.
