- She also completed a specialization course in international arbitration – Arbitration Academy – in Paris;
- Mariana is also a lawyer in France.

- Mariana has experience in complex litigation and representing clients in arbitration and court proceedings in a wide range of commercial disputes;
- Mariana’s professional experience includes working in the international arbitration team at Herbert Smith Freehills in Paris.

- Advised a major company in two arbitration proceedings before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) involving investment in telecommunications in Brazil;
- Advised a company in a multimillion-dollar arbitration proceeding before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) concerning the breach of a shareholders’ agreement;
- Advised a company in a multimillion-dollar arbitration proceeding before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) regarding the non-payment of an amount designated by a take-or-pay clause;
- Advised company in two parallel arbitration proceedings before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Cour d’Arbitrage de Côte d’Ivoire (CACI) involving investment in Africa.
